This weeks guest is Gary Newbold, maker of premium, handmade British outerwear as English Utopia, and his non-linear career progression from life as a competition cyclist to becoming head of design at Barbour, and what to do after that. Pearls of wisdom are included, so pay attention!

And remember, while you can listen to the episode right here on the webpage (all episodes on the Garmology page), for the best experience, the podcast is also available on all the usual podcast sites, like Apple Podcast, Spotify, Google Podcasts etc., just search for Garmology. This is very handy for listening via your phone while walking the dog, driving, cooking, or whatever activity you do where you want to listen to people talk about stuff.

If you enjoy Garmology, I’d be thrilled if you’d leave a rating or a review. This helps the podcast reach more potential listeners!

An ex-racers interesting journey from tyro to the Barbour designer and return to createur. For my part, more could be said about the design process, creativity and inspiration.
