Denimheads with a decent memory will remember the Norweigan denim brand Steel Feather, mostly active around the early 2010’s. The brand offered a limited range of distinctive jeans made to a high level in Japan, using specially sourced low-volume Japanese-woven selvedge denim. You can read more about the brand in my original post about the brand from 2014. And also a review of my own pair of Steel Feather jeans in 2015.

Owner and designer Anders is now bringing the brand back via crowdfunding. You can find more info at his Kickstarter here. The reward offered for backers is a third iteration of his 5-pocket design.
Looking back now, I think the my article holds up well and provides an interesting insight into how Anders created a legitimate and decent denim brand from Oslo. I would also recommend reading the full and open presentation Anders has published for his crowdfunding effort. It’s an interesting insight into what it takes to establish a small-scale clothing brand.
